Football has been a large part of Conner Kempe’s life since
he was a young teenager attending the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens,
Florida. Although he is currently focusing on his studies at Stetson Law School
in Gulfport, Florida, Conner Kempe remains extremely proud of his football
record, and looks forward to continued involvement in the sport.
Conner Kempe got his football start at the Benjamin School
in Palm Beach Gardens. While he also excelled in baseball and lacrosse (he
earned three letters for baseball and started as a 3 hole hitter as an eight
grader), Conner Kempe chose football as the sport that he would pursue with the
most vigor after he won the Nike Elite 11 competition at the University of
Miam. He achieved all-area, all-region, and all-state status. Conner Kempe broke all of the Benjamin
School’s previous career passing records, and his jersey number, 16, was
retired in his honor when he graduated.
Given his high school football prowess, there was no doubt
that Conner Kempe would be recruited by college scouts – and recruited he was.
Conner Kempe received scholarships from various scholarship schools and was
recruited by Harvard, Penn, Yale, Brown, and Princeton. He eventually settled
on Dartmouth. While attending Dartmouth, Conner Kempe received the Ivy League
Rookie of the Week Award in his freshman year, in recognition of his performance
in his first start against Cornell and was a four year starter.
Conner Kempe was ranked in the top three for Dartmouth total
career passing yards, and he was named to the Ivy League Football Honor Roll in
2009 and 2010. Conner Kempe was also named Cross High Performance Athlete of
the Week in 2010.
